About Moi

Hellozens, peeps! My name's Liv (or Olivia; however you'd like to handle things). I'm a Christian (I attend the Church of Christ's El Cajon congregation), and Jesus is my ultimate hero. I'm also a writer, which I attribute to bashing my head in on a bookshelf when I was a toddler (hence the Harry Potter scar in the image above), because why on earth would I pick one of the most stressful jobs there is? My hobbies include editing (speculative Christian fiction, preferably), reading (spekkie stuff, yet again), acting (I played Rikka, as well as a few extras, in the MEA Theatre Company's 2015 production of The Snow Queen; I also played Princess Pamina in the same company's 2017 production of The Magic Flute), photography (please note that I do very poorly at it), singing (at this I do even worse), speaking Spanish (which I've been doing since my freshman year of high school), studying mythology (thanks to Rick Riordan's amazing books), gardening (because, despite bugs and dirt and other gross things, plants are awesome), consuming chocolate (from semi-sweet to milk chocolate; See's Candy's chocolates are the best), and defending the Oxford Comma (because "tea, scones, and books" makes so much more sense than "tea, scones and books," which implies that tea is made up of scones and books). As you've probably guessed by now, I am very long-winded, save for the times when I need to be.

I have a deep love for the concept of unicorns, and have always dreamt of being besties with one. I'm an INFJ, vegetarian, pluviophile, anglophile, bibliophile, country girlanimal lover, and Hufflepuff (with a mountain hare Patronus). My favourite time periods are the middle ages (the swords!) and the Regency (the dresses!). If I had my way, I'd live in a cozy Victorian home in a land where it was always snowing (a castle would do nicely, too, but I'm afraid snow plus a cold castle would potentially equal my death). I've been homeschooled since the beginning of fourth grade, and am a nerd (which you've probably guessed).

You can find my author bio below.

Anywho, enough about me! What about you?

My Author Bio

     Liv K. Fisher is a speculative Christian fiction author, blogger, and nerd. She never outgrew her obsession with unicorns, and, when she isn't writing, she enjoys reading, gardening, acting, singing, listening to Celtic music, and studying mythology. She is the founder of the review sites Christian Lasses & Their Books and Merikthorne Library, and performed in the MEA Theatre Company's first production, a 2015 adaption of The Snow Queen. Liv resides in the chaparrals of southern California, where she lives with her parents and two dogs. Though she currently does not have any published works, she hopes to, soon, and writes often.

  1. I love your blog and I've been following for a while. I just noticed that your background image doesn't fill your whole page. If you're interested, add the following code to CSS, and it'll be fixed :)
    Code:

    body {
    background-size: cover;
    }

    Hope that helps!
